Lower Lip Piercing
You guys I just pierced my lower lip and its so swollen! im very scared .. I need to know if there are any veins/nerves around the lower lip that I might have busted! I think its infected as well but im already taking antibiotics (pills and cream). should I take the stud out?
Thanx for the info well I got it professionally done but still im a bit worried and im worried about my tooth as well since the piercing keeps hitting my tooth from inside its annoying:(
hitting your tooth on the inside is REALLY BAD NEWS. This is how teeth get chipped, or gums recede and your tooth falls out altogether.
I had a similar problem (stud touching on teeth) and you have three solutions here:
shorten the bar, if it is too long it will be damaging your teeth.
change to a ring (this worked for me)
remove the stud: your teeth are more important, and they don’t just grow back. I pro piercer should have checked placement better than this…no good! You can always get it repierced in a spot that suits your mouth shape and design better.
Rinse your mouth with mouth wash when waking up and after every meal. Also, I used neosporin on my lip when mine got swollen and it went down in a flash. My lips totally fine now. Just try not to touch it or play with it in your mouth or it will get even more irritated. It’ll get better.
If not, then you have to remove the piercing to prevent a serious infection.
As for the vein thing… if you got it professionally done, you really have nothing to worry about. If you did it yourself… then theres a lesson for ya lol… sorry, I’ve had my share too.
