Love and boyfriends help

There is this guy in my school who I’ve know since 3rd grade. I really liked him and I knew he liked me. 1 day I was talking to my friend and I said it would be fun to go out wit him. She went up tp him and asked him out for me, even though I never said I was ready. He replied yes, but then I said I wasnt sure if I wanted to go out wit him and he got sooo mad, and called me bull poop and never talks to me. Over the lastmonth I’ve been dropping notes in his locker telling him what happened and why, I found out he is now going out with this one girl named sierra. I see him in the hallways walking wit her but he never seems very happy about it. Recently I dropped a not in his locker telling him that since he was going out with sierra we could just be friends. Today I was buying a ticket for the school dance and he was buing 1 2 and he smiled a really cute smile. Whatr does this mean, does he like me, ahould I ask him out again. A reliabl source tells me he keeps all the notes I send him in a special place, what does he mean. Anybody. Help asap.
