Losing Weight To Slow Or Not

Ok I have lost 11 lbs in 2 months. I joined a gym I go 4 days a week. Is 11 lbs in 2 months good? Or do I need to do something else too. I always thought if I lose it slow I had a better chance of keeping it off. True or not?

Answer #1

In that case, sorry I maybe wasn’t clear enough with my answer: 11 lbs. in 2 months is a fine pace, but there’s really no way at all to tell what pace is good because it’s different for every single person depending on starting weight, exercise, height, and muscle gained.

Answer #2

If you are losing the weight in a healthy way, 11 pounds in 2 months is totally fine. It’s all about the intensity, length, and type of your workout and if it’s working for you that’s great. You’re right in the fact that most diets that help people lose weight quickly don’t usually keep the weight off, the people often gain back the weight quickly because they have only lost water weight or are forced to eat healthily again, or only lost muscle in extreme fasting cases. You should be proud you’ve found a way to steadily lose weight that will last and is healthy, good for you.

Answer #3

Some of the girls I work with are going to the dr, and taking pills to lose weight. I just don’t see it. I would rather work out and feel better. It’s so good for stress to. I am satisfied with my 11 lbs, Just wondered if it was a normal pace, The girls with pills lose like 10lbs in 2 or 3 weeks, But I know it’s not healthy and in the long run, I’l be at my best and they’lle still be popping a pill.
