Looking for a job, discriminated by both camps ?

I applied for over 10 jobs, and I’m still unemployed for this summer. I contact managers by phone and they say they’d take me right away, starting in a few days. I send them my CV and Woah !! Never get a phonecall back. If I call, their excuse can not get less lame : ‘’Uhm, all current positions are filledt, thank you. Practically, I’ve got a good CV. Student, work experience, voluntary work, etc… It happens all the time; whenever they see my name they never call me back. I’m from Eastern Europe, thinking the Cold War is over. Some Canadians apperantly don’t like it, even though I’m a legel citizen and everything. I tried applying for work with a few middle eastern immigrants and same sh1t happened to me. How can I possibly get a job without being discriminated ?

Why not use a Canadianized nickname on your CV (?what is that anyway)?

You only have to use you real full name on the tax forms.

Maybe its not discrimination, just bad luck.
