This depends on various factors.
- How well you understand your work. If you understand it well you might only need a few hours vs a few days of revision.
- How difficult the subject is, some subjects require hours of revision, others not so much, this also goes hand in hand with how well you understand it
- How much time you have, if you don’t have a lot of time, rather spend a few hours understanding the most important aspects and revising them than all the work.
- Your learning style, for example, in order for me to feel comfortable with work I put in many, slow hours. My boyfriend on the other hand gets the same marks when just spending a few hours with fast reviewing.
Basically I suggest experimenting with the amount of time YOU require before taking a test.
