ok it's a long complicated sory but will try to make it short...We made a verbal agreement with someone to take care of them and help them till they passed away in exchange for property.the person has passed away and we now have owner ship.the problem we are having is...when the person passed on she had a joint tenantcy with her live in B/f so the house auomatically went to him..he tried to kill someone and now is in prison.when he went to prison he gave power of attorney to his sister who in turn signed it over to us according to prior agreement. Now the person the b/f tried to kill is trying to get the power of attorney set aside and have it go back into the b/f name so they can get a judgment against him and sell the house for the money.Is there anything we can do?please help thank you.
seek out the advice of an atterney..I personally cant see how this peson can do that since you all have ownership now...if its in writing and signed and all , its a legal document. Seek out legal advice...each state may be different
