how long do films usually stay in cinemas for?

i want to see Devil for my birthday on the 24th of this month…and the release date was the 17th September. im trying to plan in advance or should i wait untill it shows watchs able to be seen on the 24th?

Out here it’s usually a couple of months.. and then it comes out on DVD a few months later..

my own personal experience is about 4 weeks/a month.

i dont like the pictures cus its boring and you cant take some cans in.

what was the last film i seen at the pics, hmm i think it was hostel 2 and it was crap.. before that it was jurasic park so my comments are prehistoric, ha ha look i cracked a funny. ok never mind.

i only go once every 10 years and thats only when im made to by a missus lol

like jeoni said it depends how demanding the movie is. when starwars 3 revenge of the sith came out in theaters here it was on for a month because it was so popular and the place was packed every night. other movies usually stay in theaters for only a week. sometimes they might even bring a movie back because again with the popularity. it just depends if the movie is popular or not

haha! i always go to home bargins and put all my pop n shiz in my massive bag then open it up when it goes dark haha ;).
