Does Locks of Love accept dyed hair?

I have decided to finally cut my hair and would like to donate it to lockes of love since its down to my waist and cutting 8 inches would still leave me with hair to my shoulders. My hair is currently black, blonde, and hot pink though. Would they accept it?

No, it must b undied and untreated, and 6 inches long, we just donated my daughter hair 2 weeks ago :-)

Yes, they do accept colored hair. However, they do not accept bleached hair, as the bleach causes the hair to dissolve as it goes through the manufacturing process.

As long as it’s in good condition, you can donate your hair. However, they don’t accept bleached hair because it causes a reaction when they process it.

They accept dyed hair, but not bleached hair. So if you have had highlights done or any other bleaching, you wouldn’t be able to donate.

I, myself, donated last summer. I think Locks of Love is a fabulous cause to donate to. ^^

It can be dyed but only natural colors and not bleached my cousin donated her hair and it was dyed black but when she asked them it was blue and pink and the lady said natural colors only….Kudos to donating.
