is there a way to get back to life extinct animals with dna or something else?

Do you if is possible to have extinct animals back with the dna or something like jurassic park is possible or not at least to have tigers, birds or any kind of animal that we dont have anymore.

Answer #1

I think it would be cool having a dodo bird as a pet

Answer #2

well, considering the advances in technolgy i guess that once cloning becomes a safe experience that can be completed with a dna strand instead of the entire organism i think it may be possible to get some animals back, just with dna… but im just guessing do i hope this helps

Answer #3

Cloning animals is still pretty rough and hasnt been perfected in the least bit. We’re a long way off from being able to bring back extinct animals. In all honesty though, i dont agree with cloning and dont think that any of it should even be done. Its a great scienfic achievement once it can be done perfectly, however, i see it causing tons of problems and ethical issues once we get to that point. Where do we stop? Do we stop at extinct animals? Do we stop at producing “perfect” animals? Do we stop at producing a perfect race of human?

Answer #4

This is only imagination now and our science has not gone that forward now, but i feel it is still possible for sure in the years to come

Answer #5

Cloning these animals would be the only way to bring them back. However, there are many things that stop this from happening. 1. Cloning is a new science, many scientists still don’t know the full power of this science nor do they know the dangers. 2. The DNA of these extinct animals needs to be perfect, if the DNA is broken, even by the smallest amount you can not clone the animal. 3. If the DNA is broken you could try to add another similar animals DNA into the chain, but than the animal is a new breed of animal which no knows what it’s going to be like. We could do in the future, but the real question is will we do it in the future.

Answer #6

Well i did watch this documenty about when they found that wollie mammoth frozen in the ice for thousands of years, and they were sugesting trying to clone it and letting it grow inside a elephants womb.

Answer #7

Possibly in the future. I did read an interesting study on cloning the wooly mammoth using ancient DNA and elephant egg cells. Cant remember what the outcome was, but scientists are thinking about the possibilities.

Answer #8
