"leg aches" what are they?

hello(: I have a question, duh=p I get this intense pain in my lower leg like in my ankles, its so uncomfortable that it wakes me up and I cant stay still. I’ve been getting them since I can remember, im more used to it now that I can handle the pain but there have been times where I wake up crying and crying in pain. I think it happens when theres a fast temperature change, like when I get out the hottub or when I wear leggings and my leg is exposed. and to help ease the pain heat helps like I put on 4 pairs of socks or ill rap it up in a heating pad. Strange huh? my moms says she got the same thing when she was growing up so she knows exactly what im talking about, but shes the only one.. no one else I’ve asked knows what it is. It causing me a lot of comforting quit frequently. Im just wondering if anyone has a name they can give of what it might be so I can look it up and see what other people do to ease the pain..? im having an intese “leg ache” (what my mom and I call it) right now and its driving me insane, im tired of getting them!
