Is it hard to learn to read and write music for the piano?

I am taking Intro to Piano and Music theory so I was just wondering

Answer #1

learning to read music is just like learning to read a book. It just takes time and dedication. Every set of 2 black keys can be known as a dog house, if you remember what key is between the set of black, you will remember all of them. Reason is becuase the scale repeats itself, and so the keys repeat. Another thing, if you are learning a new song, take small stickeys and wright 1-10 on them and number your keys by sticking them right on the key. After you have those 10 remembered, remove them, and practice. when you are secure with that, add one or two or three notes to it and just keep progressing. Its like CAT to CATASTROPHE. haha

Answer #2

haha thanx, I have a piano too, I know how to play some songs. but, I want to learn with both hands fluently.

Answer #3

Just like math it comes easily to some people while others struggle. Anyone can develop musical ability but those with an aptitude for music will have an easier time and tend to go farther with it. Highly motivated but less naturally gifted musicians often catch and pass up musical prodigies though.
