Learning more about my fish.

So, I’ve been learning a lot about my Batta fish after looking things up online. I just have some more questions.

Do you guys think he would be happier in a bigger bowl, with more things inside? Right now, he’s in one of those ‘house like’ bowls that are kind of small, but he has rocks in the corner, little pebbles on the bottom, and three little dolphins that he likes to sometimes hide behind.

I want to get him a bigger bowl, but I also want a heater, because I’m tired of his water always getting cold, when hes supposed to be at a room temperature, and I hate having to change it every time it does get cold.

as long as its in a house with room temps, that is room temp for the fish and not too cold…I have my beta in a big vase type bowl with a green leafy plant. I was told too that the plant works like having an airiater in the tank for the fish..it provides what the fish needs, although beta fish dont have to have one to survive…beta’s can live in small spaces, but I too think its nice to have something big enough for them to be able to swim and move around in. The plant also gives them something to hide in and it makes a nice table center piece that way too.

They also say, not to have your fish be near the window. I know it should be fine in the winter, cause even though the sun beats in the room, its still not warm enough to boil him…but what do I do in the summer time?
