Can I get my laptop to run faster?

I suggest you restore your laptop to a date before you used that converter website, go to your control panel and search ‘restore to previous date’ and it should appear there (I know for sure its located there with windows 7). Pick a date before you started experiencing problems and it will remove any computer changes or programs that have been installed since then, if your computer contracted a virus or spywhere then that will take care of it. (back up any important files that have been created in that time).

but i did this to my computer and it deleted all my programs that didnt come with my computer like microsoft word and the anti virus software

all three are are free programs run a scan with all three.. there is just about nothing that the combination of all three will miss… also you may have some registry errors download “ccleaner” http://funadvice.com/r/bl8de6cj2e5 (also free) and run a registry scan this will fix about as much as you can without a tech having access to your computer and for free.

Did you restore it to the factory setting? Because that would explain it. You only need to go back to the date that the problems started (a couple weeks at most) and this date needs to be manually set. I’ve done before for a couple different people, including myself. Its a life saver. I had spywhere download itself onto my computer and I couldn’t even open the internet without it freezing up, I restored it and it was as good as new, haven’t had any problems since.
