Lap Top Screen?

what’s wrong with my dad’s lap top screen? Like it’s not bright at all, very dim, you CANNOT see what you’re doing. You can kinda see what’s going on but its very very very dim, like you have to look RIGHT at the screen and try to see what’s going on.. I’ve tried restarting, and nothing. I’m maybe thinking its the batteries? My mom says its been fine all day till now.

Whats the problem with it?

Thank you<3

Answer #1

I’d suggest you to first check the power options if you have a vista..if it’s on powersaver then it reduces the brightness if not then check with the brightness setting in control panel…if everything is ok with these two things then I guess your lappy monitor is screwed up.Better get it checked by a professional.

if its a mac it looses brightness easily for some reason. Lol my mac was REALLY dark and I was like wtf lol then I adjusted the little sun button in the left hand corner of the keypad and it brightened it.

Answer #3

No. My mom said it was fine during the morning and throughout the day and that she left for like 2 hours and came back and it was like that. No one could of done anything since my dad’s in Toronto, and me and my sister were at school.. I shut it off and might restart it in a half hour but I don’t know what I can do to fix this.. It’s a new laptop by the way.

if its windows then it may just be the lighting has been turned down hold down [ctrl] then press up on the directional pad I think thats how you increase the lighting =].

Answer #5

It could be the lamp…maybe it’s starting to die.

Have you tried closing it and opening it a few times?

Answer #6

Has someone managed to somehow adjust the brightness?
