Labyrinth riddle is bugged.

Ok, so I was watching labyrinth and was curious as to the guard’s credibility. The guard on the right says “One of us always tells the truth, and one of us always lies”; there is no way of knowing for certain weather or not that statement is true. For example if the guard on the right is the one who always lies then he must be lying about that statement. Or if that statement is true then he is the one who is always telling the truth.

Answer #2

THAT IS THE POINT OF THE MOVIE ITS ONE BIG PUZZLE its not suppose to be solved hence her falling and them never showing what happened if she picked the other choice because its not SUPPOSE TO BE SOLVED

Answer #3

I invented “Its just a movie”!!! but that part wouldnt be a riddle because it is impossible to solve if you can not confirm if there is truth behind “One lies, one tells the truth.

Answer #4

thats the point the whole movie is a riddle its a “ labyrinth” a puzzle plus its just a movie

Answer #5

It is actually solvable, and she does solve it correctly in the movie. Go back and listen to the question she asks closely. Yes, if you ask one of them a direct question, you will never know what is the truth and what is a lie. The key is to ask one of the guards what the other would say about following a certain path. Then by working out all the possibilites in your head, you can deduce, not who is lying and who is telling the truth, but the truth about the path you need to take, which is exactly what you need. Surprisingly, you find that it doesn’t matter who is lying and who is truthful, because you get the same result regarding the correct path.
