Labour cat!!

My cat is in labour how long roughly does it take shes not yet pushing ut is having contractions and all the other signs and her plug has gone thank you !!

Answer #1

It can take about an hour or 2 between each one being born, and up to 24 hours for the whole litter to arrive, maybe a bit longer for first time mother cats.

Answer #2

Actually it can vary from one cat to another. If she’s not pushing yet, it’s because she’s still dilating.

It’s very important that you just let her be during her labour, since interfering can actually cause her to delay her birth - cats know what they’re doing, and rarely do they ever need any help with the birth. She may not cry at all..many cats manage to push their young out without so much as a whimper.
