Is anyone VERY knowledgeable about youtube? I could use some help please.

I want to change my youtube screen name without closing the account and opening a new one and here’s why: I’m experienceing copyright violaton issues for a “cover song” I recorded. I gave credit in the video, and there are 100’s of others playing the same song. I’ve already closed/opened a new account but I suspect it could be my screen name that is throwing up the red flag. The video will play as long as I’m “logged in” to youtube, otherwise not. Thanks for your help if you know the answer:)

I might add that the editing portion of youtube is damb un-user friendly to me, and it can’t make up IT’S mind what it wants. There are so many features it’s ridiculous, I only need a couple of em. I’m getting old ;/

oh right i also got a copyright flag for a news clip… seriously an old news clip….

Just delete the video on your original account (they track you by IP so changing accounts doesn’t help much) wait a day or two and the flag should be gone, also check if you have other “infringing” videos as 2 hits are needed for your account to be made untrusted…

P.S. I discovered that it’s only blocked in the United States, plays fine in other countries such as Canada.
