Why was my cat coughing?

You can get cat laxative to help the hairball go down (coughing them up is rather gross).

My vet gave me a tube that he said was meat flavored grease. Makes everything slide on out. He also said I can just mix mineral oil in with my kitty’s food for the same effect.

Uhm yeah sounds like it was a hairball… Not really a big deal. There’s apparently food that can control that.

Sounds like a hairball-all cats get them. He probally had a sore throat after he coughed so hard and thats why his voice was almost gone.

my cat did that before, and hes like 4 months old and never had a hair ball, and he went in the bathroom and started doing that, nothing came out (which I have no idea if its suppose to) but he was fine. I was like omg my kitty and my boyfriend was like tiff hes fine thats what cats do, so I didnt really think twice, if theres any other signs maybe ask a vet in the morning but its probably nothing

my cat never got that, “dogwhisperer” it’s not true that all cats get it.

if the cat is coughing. it may be a fur ball- which you may need to get liquid parrafin. askthe cats vet if he can give you liquid parrafin, this lubricates the throat and helps bring it up. also over time, a breathing tube in the cats throat can get lose and gently collapse, this isnt anything to worry about, but it catches the cat my suprise - hence the coughing. this expericence is exactly like have a sore or dry throat. GET LIQUID PARRAFIN. it can come in a pate form called KATALAX and has cod liver oil extractwhich will interest the cat into eating it. if the cant refuses to eat it, rub it into the paws, and the cat will automaticall lick it clean. over time this condition will worsen as the cat ages, however there is an operation available, but it is very pricey, because it is such a common illness with most cats and dogs. hope my information helps any one.
