Kids hurt?

I need to know before I get pregnant, how painful it is, any descriptions

Answer #1

How bad does having a child hurt…wow, I don’t even think I can describe it. My oldest was born after only 4 hours of actual labor (0 to 10 centimeters with pushing in 4 hours). I still get nightmares from it…and it was all back labor which I think is about 100 times worse than regular labor…oh and it was all natural. My second child was born after 6 hours of labor (0 to 10 again in only 6 hours)…this was also back labor and completely natural. My third was born after 24 hours of labor…0 to 5 in 22 hours with the last five centimeters in only 2 hours…all 24 hours was completely natural.

The ring of fire (which is real and is extremely painful), the contractions, the tearing and episiotomy (I’ve had both)…everything about it is painful. And all those women who say that you forget the pain…like hell. How can you forget the most horrific pain you will ever go through? It is horrible…completely horrible.

Through all 3 of my pregnancies I threw up everyday about 6-9 times a day. I now have problems with my esophagus because of the acid coming up my throat (it actually burned a hole through my esophagus). Gaining 30-70 pounds is never fun. Carrying around enough water to replenish a small pool is very uncomfortable. Peeing your pants is disgusting (and you will do this). You also have to pee about every 5-10 minutes. Trying to get up off of a chair is just ridicules. Headaches, Braxton Hicks contractions, Sciatica, Varicose Veins, stretch marks, hemorrhoids…these are just some of the wonderful side effects of pregnancy.

Oh, and let’s not forget about the possibility of getting gestational diabetes…once you have diabetes you have a higher chance of getting it again later in life and toxemia (high blood pressure) which is extremely dangerous to mother and baby. And do you have any idea what it is like to lose that 30-70 pounds?

You rating it a zero, doesn’t make it any less true. Grow up and stop being a selfish child. Having a child really does hurt that bad.

Answer #3

Not only that, let’s talk about the actual pregnancy. The water retention that makes your whole body swell and makes it hurt. The back pains The constant headaches The cramps The contractions The Hemmroids (have you ever had a hemmroid? you dont want to know how that feels) The Morning (all day) Sickness The Bloodwork that has to be done The Frequent pap smears and checking for dialation. Your skin stretching past it elacticity and stretchmarks that itch like crazy! The baby kicking your ribs Having to pee every 5 seconds

And your asking if having a baby hurts. Get an education my dear.

Thank you guys for educating the wannabe-preggers kids on here the reality of pregnancy including some of the life-long side-effects of it!

You know how they have ‘stickies’ on forums where important posts are stuck to the top? We should stick this up and point all the 13-17 year olds who want to be pregnant to this post!

That being said, gee I’m glad I’m not planning on having kids!

Which part?

If you get pregnant, you can look forward to: nausea and vomitting implantaion and stretching cramps headaches hip displacement (not as common, but still possible) swollen feet leg cramps constipation sore breasts shortness of breath pain from the baby kicking you in the ribs (one of my more painful memories) frequent urination

then you go into labour…

there’s really no way to describe that pain, but if you’ve ever had a menstrual cramp, increase it by a good 100%. If you’re lucky, they won’t need to do an episiotomy (when they cut the perineum so the baby can come out), and then there’s what’s called the “ring of fire” - when the baby is pushing through and stretching the vaginal opening to the point of burning…hopefully you don’t have a dry birth…

Still want to get pregnant?

Answer #6

Hmm everyone’s forgotten to mention what it’s like once the baby is born… The labor is the least of your problems, you will not sleep for the next 18 years… you will be working to pay for this kid for a long long time… Think about it… If you’re seriously asking about labor pain, you’re not ready for a baby

Answer #7

You are 13 years old! Why in the hell do you want to get pregnant? Use your freakin brain… geez.

Please tell me you are joking. Also, yes having a baby is the worst pain you will EVER feel in your life. I can’t even describe it. Think about pushing a watermelon out of you vagina, and ripping from the front to the back.
