Worried about the cord on my laptop

Okay so I just realized that my cord is ripped..in a certain area vertically but only the black layer..and I can see like the clear one underneath..is this really bad? How can I cover it up? What tape is good? My dad is soo gonnna freak because he just bought me this not too long ago..but I wasnt the one who did it..it was my ditzy sister.. :( Or how can I fix it? Is it safe to use still? I dotn see any wires but I see like I don’t know a clearish silver layer there now..

You cam use black tape. But the best thing would be to tell your dad and get a replacement ordered. Those cords don’t cost very much.

get black masking tape but your dad will found out I have broken mine twice lol but then I got a new laptop a dell inspiron which if pulled hard has a device that disconnects it, anyway dont worry return your lead to the company and get them to send you a new one before the warranty runs out

I had the same problem with my radio I told my dad right away… he freaked but I was glad I told him because before he could fix it it started to spark
