Is there a way to jump start my period?

Ok I haven’t had a period. I know I am not prego. I can not take the pill and can not go to a doctor. Is there any type of home thing I can do… I eat soy and its feels like my period is trying to go but its hitting a wall. I have the cramps, for a week but no blood. I have had an irregular period for 3 years and its starting to just annoy me… Me and my boyfriend maybe future hubby have sex just I haven’t had one since I stopped doing drugs… I am a teen. I stopped drugs for 6 months, had a period that whole time, started them back up in december and that’s when my last one was. I stopped back in february and no periods,so someone please help?

Answer #6

how dose your iron look? a doctor CAN take a drop of blood and see if you have low iron.

I was on the pill for a year and it’s taken 2 months for me to start again (today’s the first day of mine again) and I made sure I ate some of these foods so I’d get it when I was suppose to (so I can start keeping track of it)
what your going though does sounds a little like pregnancy too, but at the same time it’s hard to tell without a test… that “hitting a wall” sounds like a symptom because there is a muscle in there that closes when your pregnant, but if your not and your body’s trying, I don’t know what that would be… hope that helps! and I think that aspirin thing helps too because I took it for my headache last night…weird O.o

I was on Depo and had a period for the whole 9+ months and now I am waiting for my cycle to come back. So if you are looking to get on a birth control do not go with Depo. Everytime I went into the doctors office I kept telling them that I was still on my period but they did not tell me that is was from the shot and it has been atleast 5 months since it has come back… Does anyone know when I might get it back?

Answer #8

You have to have a period every three months. the lining of the uterus is building up and if the build up stays there the it is uterine cancer that you have to worry about. However if you are a teen and just starting out your body may take a couple years to figure it out and regulate. You may hear of people taking certain birth control and not having period at all such as the depo provera shot this is because provera thins out the lining all together. I would also suggest if the cycles are irregular to see your doctor even just for reassurance thanks

Answer #9

It may not be a pregnancy thing. My best friend had a few regular periods and then just stopped having them. She went to the doctor and they told her that her body just doesn’t want to have periods.

He put her on this medicine to make her have a period. He told her that if her body didn’t have a period, that this could lead to ovarian cancer.

You need to go to the doctor before any serious damage is done.

It’s not healthy to not have a period. It’s a very normal thing to have one.

Go to the doctor.

I wish mine would just start I am too scard to ask my mom to see the doctor but my 15 year old sister still has not had hers I am 13 and some of my friends are starting I hate being the last one yet I am the oldest in my grade

Answer #11

let me tell you that the soy is doing you no good at all. soy acts like estrogen in your body which is the hormone you need for the first 2 weeks of your cycle. after you ovulate estrogen levels naturally drop and progestrogen levels rise. the latter is the hormone that contributes to your period coming on. soy is the enemy in this situation. I recommend parsley tea. read this webpage. http://www.sisterzeus.com/delayedmen.htm I have had very irregular periods and the parsley tea coupled with a day of total de-stress almost always works for me.

Answer #12

Hmm well..im not exactly sure of ways you can start your period early the only advice I have is to maybe see if it’s stress related. I know that when I get stressed I will skip my cycles too and another thing I was on the depo shot a while back When I got out of high school and I did not have a cycle till a year and 4 months after that. I was having normal montly cycles before I got on the shot, now, im 21 and I stoped taking the shot when I was 19 and ever since then they have been irregular and its annoyign but something I deal with. If you know your definatly not pregnant then theres no need to buy a pregnancy test, but if you are active then yes you should take one just to be on the safe side.

I am soon to be 25 years young and I have the same problem but on top of not having a period my body still feels like I go through my cycle. like having craps and so what. This is what I have found… Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It may answer some of yur questions andf you can also ask your doctor about it as well. I am dong the same. good luck and best wishes

Answer #14

What I use to do when I knew something was coming up that I didn’t want to worry about my period I would take an asprin. Might help you to start. Anyway it won’t hurt anything and worked for me.

Answer #15

I’ve been on noriday for 9 months. While taking it I never had a period. 3 months ago I stopped taking it and still havn’t had a period. Have started getting pains in lower abdominal. Does anyone have any advice.

Answer #16

I’m sorry but h0ney502 is wrong. you don’t need to have a period every month. just look at seasonal birth control. you only have your period four times a year. your period is just a way to filter out all the build up and get rid of your egg, sometimes you don’t ovulate an egg b/c the fulobian tube doesn’t release one therefore no period. its quite normal to skip a period sometimes. but only sometimes. I’d go to the gyno just incase though.
