Joining the Marines...

I’m a girl… I have never really been that active I’m not over weight so that’s not a problem… . I can’t run long distances, yet, but I am working on that a little more at a time. I have two years to condition myself before basic training. I want to join the Core more than anything. It’s a passion of mine. So please don’t write saying “the marines isn’t for you”, because it is. What I am asking is, how do I go about this ‘conditioning’? What is the best (not per say the easiest) way to get my body ready for long distant running and any other obstacles I am going to experience in basic?
