Is there a job similar to researching items and buying them for people through auction sites?
Okay, so that sounds like a ridiculous question, but please allow me to explain and do not mock me. Is there actually a line of work where you find items, negotiate, make offers, track assets, bid, etc. for other people? For example if a collector wants a specific piece, is there someone they could hire to track it down and find a way to purchase it (of course it would be within an approved budget)? Sort of like a person shopper, but for more valuable items as opposed to like holiday shopping.
That seems like a legit job, but I’m not sure if there is anything like that out there officially…
