Job interview why I want to work?

I screwed up my last interview when I couldnt answer why I want to work for them people say you should never say for the money so I didnt, but than again I just want to work somewhere to get started on the way to independant. what would we the best thing to say when asked that ? I dont really love the job, I dont really care about the money, I just want something to do better than staying home all day long.

Usually comment about how some aspect of the job is something you’ve always wanted to do or get better at.

Or comment in general about how you want to work for a company that is tops in the field.

Or comment on how your skills will help you succeed beyond their wildest dreams at their job.
