Job for a cowboy

A good job for a cowboy is milking the livestock or cooking beans, possum-belly and crawdads, for the tough dudes that ride rodeos or rassle ‘gaters in their spare time. Milking and cooking is much safer than trying to control those herds of stampeding monsters, or supervising a cattle drive through Apache territory, or hoorawwring the nearest saloon bar while the bad guys in black stetsons are trying to cheat at poker or molest the bar staff. That’s the way to end up in boot hill if you ask me. Another good one is being Annie Oakley’s side-kick in P T Barnum’s Wild West Show, or being one of those extras that get shot by Clint Eastwood and fall off a roof. That might not sound like a good job, but I think Mr Eastwood usually fires blanks in his gun while he is filming, and when you fall off the roof, you are allowed to land on a big inflatable mattress, so it is bit like going on a Bouncy Castle without having to pay.
