What do you think about Jesus being married?

The hypothesis that:

“The Marriage at Cana” was in fact the marriage of Jesus the Nazarene to Mary Magdalene seems to me to be not just merely plausible, but also highly likely.

The Bible doesn’t indicate if Jesus was married. It doesn’t say he was and it doesn’t say he wasn’t. For Christians wouldn’t the fact that the Bible doesn’t address this indicate that it probably isn’t terribly important? The Catholic Church has a lot invested in Jesus being celibate since it celibacy is required of Catholic priests. I also don’t think the RCC will change their position over a single piece of papyrus. Even if the papyrus is taken seriously it only indicates what early Coptic Christians believed rather than being proof of anything.

Makes Him no less mankinds Savior

If he was or not is of no concern. It would change nothing. He did what he did, was who he was, and suffered for us. (I mean really suffered) It’s funny to me how certain non-believers of the world are constantly researching and looking to find some “fault” in the Lord so that they may feel better about themselves. Jesus lived and knew how it felt to be a “person” because he was one. He was tempted, he had feelings and thoughts, struggles too and lots of trouble as he preached the gospil. Ultimately he was persecuted and faced it without fear, took it like a man, and then arose on the third day as he said he would. Jesus said “ In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world” !!! And he did.

Hey Tammy, please don’t think my rant was directed towards you, it’s a great question. It just got me thinking about a documentary I watched where these “scientists” were making me mad. Now that I’ve calmed down, I would love to know if he was or not, but we may never know in this life. :)

i think that it is true and the church is trying to cover it up. because if he was indeed married to Mary his virgin mother who is said to have had a child and the father was Jesus then it would make him un holy he would not b pure and divine as the church makes him to b. it is said that the holy grail was Mary and her daughter Sarah who is Jesus’s daughter and that would b wrong to the church. there is a group called the Priory of Sion and they were said to hide the truth and the location of the resting place of Mary and for those of you who don’t know Sarah in ancient times means Princess the holy one. the church just doesn’t want christ to be divine.

I doubt it but it really wouldn’t matter. Doesn’t change His life, death or resurrection.

Shall i tell you something that will surprise you? as a muslim we believe the jesus is not dead, he will come back to earth , get married and have children and there will be a war! he will blattle a evil evil person claiming to be god, after he gives life to the dead. that, my friend is one of the major signs of the day of judgement….when the great signs come and the sun rises from the west…when god commands it to go back were it came from, it will be late no forgiveness will be accepted from that day anymore.

You shouldn’t believe everything you hear in the news; the media aren’t always truthful. I personally believe that isn’t true. Jesus came solely to show people how to live in the right way and ultimately wash away the sin of man; he didn’t engage in such relationships. If Jesus was married it would have been written in the Holy Bible which I suggest you read if you have doubts:)

However I shan’t impose my view on anyone. You are titled to your own opinion:)

I think it’d be great if there was evidence Jesus was married, further proving his humanness, while being God.
