Itchy Red Vagina?

My vagina will sometimes get really itchy and red and if I scratch it, it starts to burn. it’s never on the inside, just the outside. And the weird thing is it’s just the right part of the outside. It’s not unbearable or anything just really annoying. It usually only itches when I touch it. It’s been on and off like this for almost a year now and I don’t know what is wrong with me. Can someone please help?

I also get this and I no this is very horrible mine burns sometimes and sometimes its looks like the skin has burnt. I have seen a doc and we are doing tests now. as I shave and also am sexuly active. however this has only just started happening in the last year we believe it may be due the pill also I find it is mainly after I have shaved. as it drys the skin. the only thing I have found is that mind in not on the skin I shaved but mainly around the clitoral area. this will last for about a week or so then go. I no I should stop shaving. but dont like to have hair so dont no what to do I have been thinking of waxing as I also get ingrowing hairs and they doesn look very nice. but scared waxing will make this worse. so far all test done have shown nothing.

Do you shave? Have you used a new product? Soap, spray, etc.? All of these things can contribute to the itchy, red rash. I’ve had one after using a soap that didn’t agree with me. It wasn’t on the inside just the lips.

Answer #3

yes I shave. I do have really dry ski and eczema. I am also sexually active. the itching started about a month before I had sex though. and there are no bumps. it doesn’t really botehr me that bad it just kinda worries me.

Also, if you think it might be a yeast infection, there are kits you can buy at walmart or anywhere with a pharmacy that will tell you if it is.

Answer #5

you should really see a doctor it may lead to sumthing serious

Answer #6

this can be a yeast infection wich can itch inside or out you should get this checked out maybe the redness is from you scratching when I had a yeast infection it comes and goes to and sometimes for like a long time and then stops out of nowheree you should ask the doctor which they probably will need to examine you just a quick look and they will give you a pill do you have discharge thats a symptom to hopefully I helped a bit

I have a really itchy red vagina and I always get it! but theres no discharge or odor and it started occuring just before I got my period so im wondering if it could be caused by that? im not sexually active at the moment so couldnt be related to that but the other infections I’ve had in the past were caused by that so this time I have no idea what to make of it…any ideas?

Answer #8

those are just razor bumps, I get those also, and when I dont shave for a while they go away. you can buy bikini zone and apply it where it iches and has bumps. if you underwear is to tight, it can increase the bumps and ichyness. this might sound odd, but if you put deoderant on the border of where your hair grows it will decrease the bumps, but dont get it in the vagina.

Answer #9

Don’t worry that happens to me sometimes for a min or two,but it’s really annoying when your down town or at school…I hope you get better soon!

Good Luck!

You should really get checked out there’s a lot of questions I could ask you though? Do you shave? Shaving can cause irretation and itchiness. Are you sexually active? If yes, you could have HPV (are there bumps where your itching?) It could be a yeast infection, it could be dry skin, it could be a number of things. If it’s really bothering you I suggest talking to an obgyn about it.

Answer #12

It could be your soap or your laundry detergent.. And if you wear white underwear, put bleach in the water when you wash them. And when you have a bath try not washing your , vagina, just soak in the hottest water that you can take for about 15 minutes..

Answer #13

go to the doctor…

or do you shave wax you might be irrtared by that

Answer #14

I would say that you have thrush. You can take a pill for thrush and also get a cream to relieve burning and itchy. Go to your pharmacy and they will suggest what you shuld use. If after 4 days it has not relieved I suggest you go see a doctor. You may have and STI, but HIGHLY unlikely, I really think you have just got thrush, which is NOT and STD or STI.

Answer #15

my vagina itches a lot, lately. I told my mom and she said to wait alittle bit. I shave, but this just started happening and I have been shaving for like two year and it’s never bothered me. it gets so itchy that I can’t take it anymore. and when I do itch it, sometimes it burns. I’ve never had sex, and I’ve never had my pants off around a boy, so I have no idea!!! I’m really worried about it. and I hate when it itches in school, I just want it gone.
