Issue with my camera. please hurry answering..

I went on vacation with it, and I dropped it accidentally, its a nikon coolpix s610. so I checked if the camera was broken so I turned it on, it worked. now, the problem is, that the little thing that holds the battery in place, broke. and I cant tell my dad or else im grounded for sure. I was wondering if theres a replacement for that..? and if so, do they have a site? I need to find that quick or else im dead.. its the little umm I don’t know whats it called it holds the battery in place, I checked the memory its fine, everything is except that little thing that broke now I plug it in to upload my pics, and the pictures never come up because its part of the battery that makes it work, but it doesnt work cause the little thing wont hold it in place. the pics are inside the memory tho. :/ PLEASE HELP ME. D:

Its not that likely that it would get replaced, cause cameras are so cheap, no matter what you buy. Personally I’d scotch tape the thing in place and leave it.

contact nikon, they should provide a replacement, but for a fee. Might as well take the fall for it. You can’t really let it just sit there and be broken ya know? Better than getting the truth out than getting found out and grounded EVEN longer.
