is it colors, or colours...?

In America, “colors” is preferred. And “colours” is acceptable.

I am american and I use “colours”… I, personally, think it’s more proper! But it can be either spelling…depends on which one you like!

Yes.. Over here in Great Britain, its spelt “colours”.. In the USA though its “colors”. I lived there for half my life and am now living in Ireland..Thats how I know!!

The difference is one is American and the other is English from England. I grew up spelling “colours’, ‘favourite’ etc..

I am not certain about this, but I think the United States is the only country that spells it colors. In countries that have British influence, it is spelled colours. Both are correct. It just depends on where you are.

I say “colours”, but I’m Canadian. Our english is more like England
