Is one of the signs of a dog being pregnant fever?

Is one of the signs of a dog being pregnant fever? My Maltese if she is may be 2 weeks pregnant. She is acting normal, but at night it seems she get’s chilled and shivers a little. Is this a sign that she is pregnant?

Phrannie (slapping myself on the head) your are right she mszbboop did talk a lot about Lady having th shivers. And she was preganat and she never figured out why she did it either, but she did

Could be but not really. But she is a Maltese and she might. It isn’t something I have heard of.

Magic…I wonder if the “shivers” are like the “shivers” that mszbboops Cocker had a while back…remember she was shivering, too…and mszbboops didn’t know if it was due to her pregancy or what, so took her to the vets. Seems, right before she whelped, she started shivering again…

I never asked if the vet knew why they do this…

But…I’d say that ‘shivering” could be due to her being PG…but that’s only if it’s NOT connected to a fever…Did you take her temp to see if she’s running one?
