Is Myspace good for kids?

Well…my lil cousins are like 7 and 10 and they have myspaces…but always set it on private…there are phishers though so maybe a wait a few years..

I don’t think that there should be an age requirement with myspace. Myspace is NOT dangerous unless you make it dangerous.

No, they are way too young, plus it’s against their TOS. Read up on it. Do some research on myspace and small children. It’s great if you are older, keep your profile on private, and only correspond with REAL friends that you actually know.

um 9 and 10 is really young for a kid to get a myspace!! there can be bad people on there and she is to young for it!! wait like 3 or 4 years :) !! (trust me im OLDER than 10 and I have one)

Jeez! I most definately would not recommend a myspace account for someone so young. Firstly, as Sika mentioned, you must be 14yeards or older.

Secondly, there is most definately a lot of men in their late 40’s who do not understand that it is unacceptable to talk to some younger ladies. I’m not saying all of them, but a good portion of them on their are well…creeps.

I seriously would wait a good 5 years before you got her one. Just my opinion though.:)

no 9 and 10 years old is too young to have a myspace. my little siser is 9 turning 10 in a couplke weeks an I would never want her to have a myspace. I have one and im 13 ( will be 14 in a few days) and I dont trust it entirely. its not that safe for kids and there are a lot of stalkers and pervs looking for children.

My sister has a MySpace and she is only twelve. I made it for her, though and she’s never been on it…lmao. That was beside the point.

Anyways, I like MySpace and all, but it’s pretty boring after you’ve been on it for almost three years…Vampirefreaks is better. :]

Unless you lie about their age You have to be 13 to sign up for Myspace so Srry But the Space Is Great!!!

It might not be that bad as long as you watch her until she’s older. Also, set her profile as “private” then not EVERYONE can view it… only those on her friend’s list can.
