Is my Guinea pig blind?

I have just bought a new guinea pig. He is very timid but apparently he has always been like that. So anyway I put the food in there and after a whole 24 hours he hadn’t touched it. so I decided to try and hand feed him. I got the food and circled it around so he could see it/smell it but his eyes didn’t move at all. it looked to me as if he couldn’t see it. but when I put it under his nose he started eating it. I’m wondering, do you think he’s blind? or do guinea pigs in general just have poor eyesight? please help

in my opinion, it might be. take it to a vet if this behaveir dosent stop. my guinea pigs watched my every move when I got mine, so maybe. but, everybody is different!
