Is my cat lonely?

I let my cat play outside, I have a fenced yard,and I keep a close watch on her. Other cats have taken to coming and sitting outside the yard, and they sit and stare at each other, do whatever cats do… Everytime I walk outside to make sure she’s ok, she hisses at me when there’s another cat around. When I back off, she goes back to looking for the other cat/s. Is my cat lonely? Is this her way of saying she wants another cat in the house?

Before this, when I’d walk her out on a leash, she basically ignored other cats, and if I played with another cat, she’d refuse to come near me for several hours. The one time I tried to bring another cat into the house, she wouldnt come near me for several days…

maybe your cat just wants to roam the neighborhood by herself. cats are smart, they always know the way back home. your cat won’t get lost. I let my cat outside everyday, in fact I only bring him inside at night or when it’s raining. if he just wants to be lazy and sleep on the porch, he does, but if he wants to go out and do what he wants, he does, but he always comes back for food and nighttime.

hmm I have toys around the house, but she’s not a big fan of fetch… she’ll run after the ball, but then I have to fetch… any suggestions?

no but she could do with a bit of fun and exercize
