PC’s are any IBM compatible computer, which basically means “not a Mac”. Usually they use Microsoft Windows, but not always. Both laptops and desktops can be PCs. Or you can get a Mac desktop or Mac laptop.

‘PC’ usually refers to Personal Computers that use the Microsoft operating system called ‘Windows”. Apple brand computers are usually referred to as ‘Macs’ - short for Macintosh - and they have their own operating system - currently Mac OS X (ten).

Generally ‘PC’ can refer to any personal computer INCLUDING laptops.
