Can authority look through your Myspace to be nosy?

Is it right for probation officers & other authority people to be looking up people on myspace just so they can read there comments, pictures & see who there friends are and then copy and print it all out just so they can use it against you?? I dont think thats right but in my town, they’ve been doin that. Can they really copy shyt off your myspace and try 2 use it against you. I mean I think their just being noisy and trying 2 find sumthing 2 get you for. But is this right or wrong for them 2 do?

it’s not wrong what they’re doing.. it’s not cool, but it’s not wrong. they have a right to get as much dirt on you as they can. they don’t need a warrant, or permission to see your myspace.. and if you haven’t noticed, myspace is completely open to the public. anybody can view it. including probation officers. so be carful what you put on the internet.

Answer #2

They’re not doing it to be nosy… They’re looking to make sure you dont break any rules… So yes they can…

Answer #3

This question is akin to saying, “Can my probation officers record what me and my friends are shouting through megaphones on street corners against us in court?” Myspace is a publicly accessible forum, not your diary. If you want the things you say and do to be kept private, then say them and do them in a private setting.
