Is it real?

The other day my boyfriend tried to explain to me how much he loved. He told me that it made his heart swell and feel really good whenever he thought about it. He said that I am always on his mind and all he wants to do isbe with me and hold me and stuff like that. Well, I’ve always thought that I have loved him until the other day when he said that. The way he described it was totally different than how I would describe it. I mean, I think about him a lot. I’ve always thought that I loved him, but I don’t want to spend every second of every day w/him. I like to have space. Is it just that I don’t actually love and I’m making myself think that I do, or do we just love differently?

No, you are right when remark that you “like to have space”. I think that you may love him with all of these mental independence, but it would be good if you 2 knew that you are a more independent person than he might be - at the present. Because, he may change in this respect seriously in few years. I advise you to tell him all of your feelings that you wrote here.
