is it ok to have a different color period?

My Period is almost 3 months late, I think I got it this morning, but its like a light brownish red, is it my period? I thought when they are late it’s suppose to be a darker color. I’m sorry, I know this is gross, but my doctor’s appointment isn’t for another week, please help me.

It depends on how old you are, if you’re 12, it’s a little more usual to have an irregular period. And a delayed period could be darker or not. Brownish red just means its old blood, since its not heavy, sometimes it can be that color. It’s probably nothing to worry about…

I’ve only had my period once and that was a few months ago. I had it for a few days after that and I’ve noticed thatit turns dark red or a brownish if I dont check on it for 2-3 hours. but I’ve never had sex so im def not pregnant. my theory: my bodywight is so low I’ve only had it once.

if you had it wile you were sleeping than it could have got darker(because of that blood hits oxygen thing) if it was on your under wear or pad but I dont think a tampon
