Is it bad to get your nose pierced with a piercing gun?

I’m planning on getting my nose pierced within the next week, but I have heard that it is bad to get it done with a piercing gun. Is this true? It seems like having it pierced with a gun would be quicker and more efficient but I want it to be done properly and so that when it heals the hole is small and well healed.

Please help me! Any previous experiances would be greatly appriciated!

Never ever get your nose piercing done with a gun I had it done and the stud and butterfly was shot in straight away 2 days later I couldnt get the butterfly out from inside my nose and the stud started sinking into my nose and made a big whole in south africa they are not allowed to use the gun anymore, only the needle I had to go to a proper piercing studio to have my stud cut off from my nose and it was infected really badly,so I waited until it healed and pierced my other side of my nose with a needle by a professional tattoo and piercing guy.

Answer #2

It is NOT good to use a gun, it is cartlige, and anytime cartlige is involved you should ALWAYS use a needle, NEVER a gun, it could shatter your cartlige, bruise it, tear it, ect, ect

Answer #3

I got it with a gun in march and it is now december ..it is perfectly heald and I recommend it its pain less and fast

Answer #4

it’s not bad, but it is much better for your piercing if it was done with a needle. I don’t have my nose done, but I had my top ear (cartilage) done with a piercing gun, and that took over 10 months to heal, whereas another part of my ear only took 4 months to heal with a needle. I know ear and nose are different, but I’ve read on my piercer’s website that it’s not a good idea to use a piercing gun.

Answer #5

it hurts like you wouldnt believe. I have had heaps of piercings and decided that I would get my nose pierced and the cheaper option was the gun.. bad choice. it feels like you have been punched in the face and the afterwards its really sore because its damaged all your cartilage and is prone to infection. ouch get it done by a needle. also when its done with a gun the holes bigger so you cant have tiny little stud. big studz look wierd

Answer #6

yeah it is. youre nose is tiny.. the gun can damage the cartilage in the middle or rip all the skin at the side.

Answer #7

yeah it is bad because it can shatter the cartilage… if that makes sense

Answer #8

i got both of the sides of mine done with a gun . it didnt do anyhting bad to my nose everyone says how it can tear the cartilage i havent heard of one peerson that has happpend to i would recommend it its painless and quick .
