Is being a pharmacist a good job ?

I need to know , because I may not be able to be a doctor , for some reasons ,

Yes, pharmacy is a great field to be in. And the pay is nice as well. :)

That was a career I considered. When my older brother was going through pre-med I used to sit for hours reading his PDR and other books on drugs (the theraputic rather than recreational kind ;)).

Being a pharmacist does pay very well and demand for pharmacists is expected to grow as our population ages.

Becoming a pharmacist requires 2 years of study in the sciences (chemistry, biology, physics, math) then pass the PCAT (Pharmacy College Admission Test) and then 4 years of pharmacy school. After this the prospective pharmacist has to pass an examination and do rotations in different areas of pharmacology.

Becoming a pharmacist is no piece of cake. Like a MD lives depend on pharmacists.
