Ipod touch synchronizing & uploading

How do I synchronize my touch.. And upload music from itunes to my ipod.. It does not show up once I connect it to my laptop

itunes is open, I manage fine with the older ipod’s but for some reason the touch doesnt show up on my laptop as a device.. ?

it might not be on open when connected… you have to manually open itunes the 1st time then fron there you can change it to open when you plug it in
