iPod Nano
I am 13 and me and my mom are trying to set up my iPod but my mom doesnt have a credit card and I am leaving tommorow and I just wanted to put some of my CD’s on here until I got a gift card or something. Are there anyays I can do this?
ok but now it wont come on unless its connected to the computer!
What do I Do
Copy your cd’s to your computer. They should save in My Documents, My Music. Open Itunes - file (top left corner) and then select Add Folder To Library. When you open itunes tick the box that says manually manage music. If itunes askes you if you want to convert the music just say yes. When you get all the music on plug in your nano highlight the songs you want and drag and drop them into the nano icon on the left side
From CD to iPod via iTunes
- Insert the CD into the CD drive of your computer
- Select all the tracks
- On the top toolbar, click Advanced > Join Tracks
- With the tracks still all selected, right-click them and select Get Info
- At the bottom, check the box for Remember Position, and change the drop down menu to Yes.
- In the Album field, enter the number of the CD you’re importing ( for example if you’re importing disc 1, type 01 ).
- Repeat steps 1-6 with each CD This will rip/copy the CD as one long track (about 1 HR 15 MIN), instead of ripping the CD into individual tracks Also, this will make the iPod remember your playback position, so if you stop listening to the book to listen to something else, when you return to your book, it’ll remember where you left off. All you will need to remember is which disc you’re on. Putting the disc number in the album field allows you to keep track of which one is which while you’re importing. After you copy all the tracks, you may have to rename each one with something to identify which book it is if you have several on your iPod: http://www.buzzymultimedia.com/transferringfiles.html
Take care !!
