What do I do about my iPod grief?

I’m kinda mad cause I bought a new 4GB iPod nano in February for about 215 dollars which included tax. I had an old one for a few years so I decided, hey get a nice new one.

Now I see that they have a new newer nano, new colors, it has video on it and its way cheaper. I think about 145 dollars for 4GB. And the same price as the old ones for 8GB.

I do like my iPod and all. I use it constantly and I don’t have a problem with mine while lots of other people say they hate them…but the price decrease with the new stuff kinda made me mad I got one before this.

Anyone else mad about that? ARG I coulda waited and got an amazing new one in 8GB

Apple is gradually becoming aware of this problem, especially after they did a price cut on their newly released iPhones. They decided they wanted a new model, so they made one, released it a month after the original iPhones were released and everyone paid an outrageous price for them, and then cut the price for the old ones and increased the price for the new ones. This attracted potential new customers, but the backlash is everyone who went out and bought the first gen iPhones for full price may think twice about buying future Apple products.

I think it was a dumb move myself, and one Apple continues to make with all of its products. It’s going to be the same case with the people who just bought the newest generation of iPods for an insane price when they’re coming out with the Double-Touch iPods in a month or so (if they aren’t already out) for the same price after they cut down the normal iPods’ prices.

Apple undoes itself with the rapid release of its products. While they may be good quality, Apple isn’t know to make long lasting things. I had a first gen iPod and it was screwing up by the time they were releasing the third gen iPods. iPods are only made to withstand usesage for a few years and it’s the intention of the company to have it so. They bank on the fact that since your iPod is messing up and they’ve released the new ones that you’ll just fork up the extra money to get the newer one. It’s a vicious cycle, but it’s business. We don’t like it, but we obey it because we’re attracted to sleek, colorfull, shiney things that can perform 40,000 different functions.
