Intellectual Black girls...where are they?

These days I rarely see intellectual black girls’. Most of them are so stuck on being in love, dropping out of school and being baby mamas. Why is that? The numbers are so big when I see that amount. It’s really heartbreaking. Thing is there needs to be more eloquently speaking black girls’, getting there diplomas and getting careers. WHAT IS HAPPENING. I live in Brooklyn so it’s quite dissapointing. Well I am one of those intellectual black girls’ not just that but I happen to be different. I enjoy anime/manga, rock music, video games, I would even talk in Japanese, chinese or even korean, dress up as my fave anime character, and other black girls’ will just ridicule me. But that is jsut MY normal.

Answer #1

I’m not acting like I’m the one who is superior, nor was I taught differently. I went to schools where they had disorderly kids, people picked on me. I’ve been through rough times where my parents were broke. But they taught me to have and stick with my education. I live with a single mother and it is hard.

So, maybe I don’t have the lives they have. But it’s not too late too change.

Answer #2

Nobody can speak for the others, so knowing what they’re reasons are is difficult - there are so many reasons.

All you can do is take pride in knowing that you have your self respect and you plan on making the most of your life…continue what you’re doing and perhaps you can lead a good example for others.

Answer #3

You forgot to add modesty to your long list of attributes. Must be nice thinking you’re superior to others around you. Perhaps they have lives and stories that you didnt have. Perhaps you had money or were taught differently. Maybe you had hope for a different life. Maybe no one ever told them that they were worth something, and could do better for themselves.

You like to talk about God and what God does and does not like. What happened to ‘judge not lest ye be judged’?

Answer #4

You were not taught differently? Perhaps having a mother who instilled some sort of hope into you was different. Perhaps someone who encouraged you and taught you to stick with your education was different. No one is saying you had it easy. But you cannot go around judging people for making different choices because you have no idea what they grew up with.
