How can I move up from being an insurance secretary?

I want more than this. I want to make more money. What are some opportunities?

Answer #1

Truck driving!!!!!!! Never mind. You will miss your family too much.

Answer #2

Come up? And what is “this”?

As I have no idea what you’re talking about, I’ll just talk about how to advance your way in society and then how all of that is completely superficial.

First, education. The more education you have, the more money you make. High school diploma if you don’t have it. Then go to college. Go into something like business or law to get the insurance secretary job (unless you have that job. I really don’t know what you’re talking about). Otherwise doors are open, and you can study whatever. I recommend Philosophy.

Why Philosophy? Because it teaches you how superficial income is, both intellectually and the hard way. Who cares if you have a low income? That isn’t what makes you valuable and that isn’t what you should find value in. Be happy in friends and family whom you love, and be happy in the God that loves you.

Answer #3

I am happy. I just want to be more successful. Come up means advance in my career. I am an insureance secretary now. Not making hardley enough. I am ok but i have things that need to be taken care of and cant because i have no money :p i just want to be more comfortable.

Answer #4

Dont get me wrong i am thankful for what i do have. God wants is all to be successful and wealthy. It would be a blessing from God. By Gods grace i want to be more successful

Answer #5

lol nah thats not for me. although it would be fun just to experience it for a short period of time

Answer #6

Look out for whether your company offers any skill enhancement training and ask whether you can participate. Maybe you can become a department manager or something.

Answer #7

Angel, are you thinking about how to move up the occupational ladder within the company where you work now, or about what kinds of new skills you could learn through further education, or about what kind of higher-paying job you could get based on your current skills and experience?

Answer #8

The 2nd and 3rd option :)

Answer #9

Best not to pursue both at once, I think, but to explore the possibilities in both directions just enough to choose which way you want to go next. I don’t know enough about your current job to say, but some possibilities for your future employment that may build on your current skills and expertise are: legal secretary; paralegal; office manager; personal secretary or administrative assistant to an executive; or a non-clerical position in the insurance industry if you enjoy it and have learned about it from your current position. On the other hand, you could consider a more complete break, if you want to strike out in another direction that appeals to you.
