in california how old do you have to be to get..

IN CALIFORNIA how old do you have to be to get a piercing by yourself? like I heard 16 and do the places just need I.D.or what?

In most US states, you need to be 18 or older to get a piercing without parental consent. Call up a local piercing place and ask them about their age limits.

California: Body Piercing-Prohibits anyone from performing or offering to perform a piercing upon anyone under age 18 unless the piercing is performed in the presence of a parent or guardian or as directed and notarized by the minor’s parent or guardian. you really need to ask sometimes you can be 16 without a parent but other times you need to be 18 its best to ask them what the age theyll peirce at there shop and if your younger than this age youll need to bring a parent with I.d to consent to it (if they allow that)
