What are the implications of a pregnant cat ingesting her flea treatment?

Aright, I was away from home and my roommates thought it was be a good idea to give our heavily pregnant cat a flea treatment (she does not have fleas- for the record) and put it somewhere that she could eat it. I don’t know how much she ate, apparently no one thought to wash it off until they called me later to let me know.
My question, am I over reacting or are there dangerous side effects and if so, what should I be keeping my eye open for? Thanks.

She will be fine. Most of those products like Frontline and Advantage mention on their labels and website that they are safe for use on pregnant cats. Most animals will lick the product so they are not gonna make something that will harm the animal if the animal ingest it. Since it is very hard to know during the first week if an animal is pregnant or not the companies are not gonna release a product with that type of restriction as it will be difficult to market.
