What is the impact of globalisation on comunication, culture and curriculum in school or universities?

What is the imapct? And give some examples from your work/school/university. And what personal experiences do you have in regards?

Answer #1

The impacts as I have read there are: the raise in the world temperature that will cause the ice in poles to melt, and this will cause the raise in the sea level. Some islands will be missing. The other is , the breaking of ozone layer that will allow the UV ray to pass through the atmosphere, this condition will cause the possibility for human to get skin cancer. For school curriculum, here in the school where I teach, the authorities start to insert the theories of Global Warming in Science classes. Students are asked to make some reports on the causes and impact of GW and what we can do to prevent it from happening. In some programs, students make a plan to plant 508 (as many as the number of students) trees every year. We are also suggesting the girls to reduce using parfumes as it contains CFC, etc.

Answer #2

Answer #3

anytime at all :-)

Answer #4

Kids are learning more about different cultures, especially with the advent of practically instant internet information availability. Also, foods are more readily available from all over the world. Forty years ago, people ate foods that were grown mostly locally. Now, you can eat grapes from Chile, wine from Australia, fish from the other side of the world, etc. International travel is easier, too.

The internet has pretty much removed all borders, especially in regards to online jobs. I can apply to a job and compete against people from anywhere in the world with internet access.
