Im not a baby anymore

Okay so I’m almost fourteen and my parents still treat me like my seven year old brother. I know that fourteen is still pretty young, it’s just that my parents treat me like I’m too young. They still cover my eyes when people kiss, they scold me when I cuss, and they still don’t let me see pg-13 movies even though I’m practically 14. I know that they are trying to look out for me, and I’ve talked to them about treating me like I’m my age, but it doesnt work. They barely know who I really am because I have to hide most of my life from them because I know they would disapprove even though I act my age. This is not the kind of relationship I want to have with my parents and I need help. Thanks.

yeahhh that happend to me a while ago. im 16 now, and they wont let me get a job or my permit, annnoyinggg.

but every parent wants to look out for you, and blah blah all that stuff. just talk to them, be stern and be like, mom, dad. im 14, im going to watch pg 13 movies, and im gunna go out more, im gunna date, and im going to grow up. stop holding me back, let me grow up.

welll…say it a little nicer. lol im just mean to my mother sometimes. but, she always let me date. and I’ve been watching x rated horror movies since I was like 7. I never had a problem where she wouldnt let me go out or something, but at times she wouldnt let me do certain things. I just told her, im a teenager (for you, a young teen) and im going to be doing these things, im sure that she did when she was my age, so dont hold me back.

well I am 14 and my parents just started letting me date and stuff. really you just have to sit them down and say listen.. I am a teenager and I if you want me to be a good person you have to let me grow up and make mistakes.. also just say that you appreciate it but you need to b an individual… same thing happened with my parents but they will get over it trust me
