I don't feel comfortable in my football pads

any of you play football I was wondering when you make contact are you nervous I wanna make more plays and bigger hits I just want some tips on how I should tackle or when should I tackle someone im just 5’6 112lbs and a Freshman

You Need to do Deadlifts over hand bent over rows Pull ups put some size on should be working hard to get your legs strong so your knees dont buckle when your hiting people

And for your legs Squats Front squats leg press

As for now have not fear and run threw people when you hit dont arm tackle or go for legs

I ent ever played im from the uk but im mint at rugby sort of the same thig its easy just aim low or high easy est point to take sum one out + you guys have pads to protect you I dont. just suck up and go full out on them but most of all mate HAVE FUN

When you make contact, jump up and try to hit them from as high as you can, because you have more levrage over their center of gravity. And your pads should protect you just fine. I used to get nervous, but I just sucked it up and did it, lol. I got used to it pretty quick. And I’m only 5’7” and 140lbs and I was 5’6” 125lbs when I played.

I am d line so im built 4 contact if you are on the line do what is comfterbil dont be scared the pads rnt there for fun and if you are in the line you just have to piledrive the guy infront of you lol

I play offensive and defensive lineman.im pretty sure you put your thum under their chest pads and push,ask your coach how.but just pildedrive them into the ground if your playing defense just don’t grab them.AND HAVE FUN
