what if i just left what could they do?

Answer #4

Nope not legal. You could get yourself emancipated which is what I think girly help was trying to say. But with all the paperwork and the amount it takes, you’re better off waiting for your 18th birthday.

Answer #5

well, you would probably just be brought back home. legally, you aren’t an adlust until you are 18/21 or your parents sign all of the papers.

Answer #6

I don’t know your family background etc and I’m unfamiliar with the laws in the USA as I live and am from the UK but here to be a tenant to live on your own you need to be 18 but what I would tell you is if home life is ok to stay there, as living on your on or with a partner is alot of money, I have friends who are spending the majority of their combined money on rent and electricity bills etc . My own opinion would be for someone at a younger age to start saving money to put aside to get their own place.

Answer #7

To be frank, the law doesn’t really care one way or the other - they have more important things to worry about than chasing someone who is nearly an adult to bring them home. The only way the police will even bother getting involved is if your parents call in that you’ve run away from home.
